Bruce Robinson grew up in northeastern America and at the age of 12 he sold his first cartoon to a BOYS' LIFE magazine sponsored drawing contest. That cartoon was later syndicated to the nation's major newspapers. He later attended the prestigious York Academy of Arts where he became proficient in illustration, later concentrating solely on "humorous" illustration.
Since then he has become an award winning, internationally published humorous illustrator and cartoonist whose work has appeared in numerous 'Chicken Soup for the Soul' books and many consumer and trade magazines and newspapers worldwide. Some of which include the National Enquirer, The Saturday Evening Post, Highlights for Children, Medical Economics, Cortlandt Forum, The Sun, Woman's World, The Federal Lawyer, The Optimist, FIRST For Women, Reminisce, The School Magazine and many others.
In addition to his work being utilized in advertising and editorial design, character design and development, games, packaging and children's books his creations may also be seen in greeting cards, gift wrap, gift bags and stickers from Koala Publishing and Oatmeal Studios.
Bruce's work has been endorsed by such notables as Johnny Hart (creator, 'B.C.' and 'The Wizard of Id'), Mort Walker (creator, 'Beetle Bailey'), Bil Keane (creator, 'The Family Circus'), Lynn Johnston (creator, 'For Better or For Worse'), Leigh Rubin (creator, 'Rubes'), John McPherson (creator, 'Close To Home'), Tom K. Ryan (creator, 'Tumbleweeds'), Glenn McCoy (co-creator, 'The Flying McCoys'), Kevin Fagan (creator, 'Drabble'), Brian Basset (creator, 'Red & Rover') Fred Travalena (comedian, impressionist) and many others.
Bruce's humorous illustrations and cartoons are a mixture of hand drawn art combined with digital enhancement as well as purely hand drawn/hand colored art for a unique painterly look.
